Welcome to Nepal. After arriving at the Kathmandu airport, our company employee will pick you up. We’ll drive to the hotel.

Upon reaching there, we serve you with a welcome drink. After taking a rest for some time, you may stroll around the hubs and market of Kathmandu. Meanwhile, in the evening, our team expert will brief you about the Chisapani Nagarkot trek.

As the sun goes down, you may enjoy a variety of meals – Nepali, Thai, Continental, and several others.

Today, our trek will begin. We’ll visit some popular UNESCO sites in Kathmandu. The places are Pashupati Nath Temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Temple, Bouddhanath Stupa, and New Road.
After having an early morning breakfast, we’ll drive to the Pashupatinath temple. The holy site is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is listed in the UNESCO sites of the world. The temple is rich in its cultural heritage, religious significance, and outstanding architectural designs. It is situated on the bank of the holy Bagmati River.
After exploring, Pashupatinath temple, we’ll drive to the Swayambhunath Temple, aka Monkey god temple. It is also one of the UNESCO sites of Nepal. It is a sacred site for Buddhists and Hindus as well. From the top of this site, you get an outstanding view of Kathmandu.
After visiting Swayambhunath, we’ll head to Boudhanath Stupa. It is situated 8 km east of the Kathmandu Valley. It is also one of the largest Buddha Stupas of Asia. It is a prime centre for Tibetan Buddhism residing in Nepal.
Following visiting Pashupati Nath, Swayambhu, and Bouddha Stupa, we’ll have lunch at Mahabouddha. We may try a distinctive taste of Nepal, which may be Dal, Bhat, Tarkari, Thuka, or Mo: Mo (dumplings). Laphing, or Dahi, Puri, Sabji.
Subsequently, we’ll move to Kathmandu Durbar Square. It is situated at the centre of Kathmandu. It is rich in its historical and cultural significance. This place is equally famous for social gatherings. It is also the home to the Nepali virgin god “Kumari”. You may also go shopping in New Road, which is attached to this site.

I hope you all are enjoying the trip. After having a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we’ll drive to Sundarijal in a private vehicle. It takes almost 1 to 1.5 hours to reach the place.
Sundarijal is one of the famous places in Nepal. It is renowned for its waterfalls, rivers, and natural rivulets.

Upon getting to the Sundarijal, our trek starts. After hiking for 30-35 minutes, we’ll reach Shivapuri National Park, where we will obtain permits to enter the beautiful park.

Shivapuri, also known as Nagarjuna, is one of the protected areas of Nepal. It was established in 2002. It is a promising place for admiring biodiversity and wildlife.

After getting permission, we gradually move our steps upwards. One will see pine, oak, and rhododendron forests during the trail.

After crossing oak and pine forests, we’ll mark our steps to Mul Kharka – a popular Tibetan settlement. Here we’ll have some rest. Afterwards, we scale our feet to Burlung Bhanjyang.

Lately, we’ve passed through dense forests before reaching Chisapani.
From the top of this place, we have admirable views of the mountain ranges – Annapurna, Everest, and Langtang.

We have an overnight stay and dinner at Chispani Lodge.

After having breakfast, our hike will continue via Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park. Here we’ll see a wide variety of animals – leopards, musk deer, mongoose, jungle cats, and sloth bears.

If you are trekking in spring, you’ll be mesmerised by the diverse range of flora & fauna. Aside from this, this park is also a promising place for bird-watching.

Throughout our treks, we’ll have flawless views of Manaslu, Ganesh, Gauri Shankar, and Mt. Everest.

After walking for some hours, we’ll stop for lunch and take some rest. Now we have to walk for at least 2-3 hours to reach Nagarkot.

Subsequently, getting to Nagarkot, we’ll be captivated and enthralled by seeing the magical sunset view. We’ll have a night’s stay and mouthwatering food at a 3-4 5-star resort.

This is the last day of our Chisapani Nagarkot Trek. Today we will wake up before sunrise.
After witnessing the beautiful sunrise from our hotel, our trek continues. Prior, we’ll have a delicious breakfast at the hotel.

Slowly and gradually, we mark our steps towards Changu Narayan. It is one of the renowned and oldest Hindu pilgrimage sites, also listed by UNESCO. This is the place where Lord Vishnu is worshipped.

In 2015, the earthquake tragically damaged this area. However, UNESCO and some other INGOs have undertaken subsequent restoration efforts.

The place is rewarding and worth visiting for its pagoda-style architecture, which was built by Licchavi ruler King Manadev. You’ll be overwhelmed by seeing the structural design and inscriptions of this place.

After taking photographs and spending some golden moments, we’ll drive to Kathmandu in a private vehicle.

If you have time, you may stroll around the Thamel Market. You can buy souvenirs and unique gifts for your family.

After the sun goes down, we’ll serve you Nepali Thakali cuisine. It includes: Rice, Vegetables, Lentils, Mutton/Chicken/Fish, Spinach, Curd, Nepali Potato Aachar, and Dessert.

(Note: you won’t have to pay for the 5th day dinner. It’s a farewell treat from us.)

What is the difficulty level of the Chisapani Nagarkot Trek?

 The Chisapani Nagarkot trek, especially from Chisapani-Nagarkot trek is regarded as moderate to easy, while some sections are demanding. It is suitable for experienced trekkers. However, an inexperienced hiker can also accomplish this trek.

A hiker must have a reasonable level of fitness. This trek does not include long day walk hours for a couple of weeks. It is quite near the capital city; therefore, the trails and paths are well maintained. Only in some sections, you get the steeper climbs and ascents. For this, we recommended trekking poles to the beginners.

The highest elevation of this trek is 2200 meters. Sometimes you may suffer from altitude sickness, nausea, vomiting, or other health symptoms. It is significant to acclimatize, walk slowly, and have plenty of juices and water before and during the trek.

Whether it is a short tour or a long week’s tour, proper preparation is necessary. Yeah, the Chisapani Nagarkot trek is just a 5-day journey. It is easier than the Annapurna Circuit Trek or the Everest Trek. Despite the fact, you need proper planning.

To prepare for this beautiful journey, you must have appropriate gear and equipment. One must have a reasonable level of fitness. Therefore, you should be involved in cycling, jogging, and running at least 2 weeks before the tour.

Drinking Water Facilities

Yeah, you may be worried about clean & safe drinking during the trek. Yes, we are always conscious of the health of our clients. Therefore, one should not have to be concerned about anything.

When you are in the Kathmandu hotel, you’ll get packaged drinking water or an RO purifier. Along the trekking routes, mineral water can be the best option. You may easily purchase water from lodges, small shops during your trek. However, it may cost around 100-200 NPR.

Aside from this, you may use water purification tablets. It is easily available in Kathmandu.

(Note:  Avoid drinking water directly from taps, wells, or hand pumps.)

Accommodation during the Trek

We will provide comfortable, cosy, and convenient accommodation services. When you land your steps in Kathmandu 3-4 hotels, you may select a deluxe, presidential, single, executive, twin, or family room, depending on your budget and demands.

Throughout the routes, we’ll provide lodges or hotels. This time, no tea houses. The route to Nagarkot is quite accessible and nearby Kathmandu. Therefore, we will easily get comfortable hotels or lodges.

For the first two days, we’ll stay in 3-4 4-star hotels in Kathmandu. It has the facilities of a swimming pool, spa, 24-hour room services, laundry, conference rooms, and free parking.

On the third day, we’ll reside in the lodge at Chisapani. It also has the amenities of a hot shower, attached bathrooms, and comfortable beds. Similarly, on the 4th day of the trek, we have a night stay at the hotel in Nagarkot. It offers scenic views, the rooms will also be clean & comfortable, a peaceful environment, and friendly staff.

Meals & Food Availability

Throughout the Chisapani Nagarkot tour, food and meals are easily available at hotels and lodges. We offer a variety of local, Thai, continental, and international dishes to our hikers. We are usually serving meals 3 times a day – Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

The ideal time for the Kathmandu Nagarkot Trek

Nepal has four different seasons: Spring, Autumn, Winter, and Monsoon. The promising times for the Chisapani Nagarkot trek are Spring are Autumn.

 Spring: Spring is the peak time for the Chisapani Nagarkot tour. Several visitors choose March to May for hiking, trekking, or visiting in Nepal. From October to November, Nepal celebrated its major festivals, Dashain (Goddess Durga Puja) and Laxmi Puja (worshipping the Hindu wealth god).

Trek in Winter – Winter is also one of the best options for the Chisapani  Nagarkot Trek. During this time, there is a smaller crowd. Throughout the route, you’ll be glad to see a vibrant and peaceful environment. You may also enjoy a sip of coffee by admiring the sunrise in Nagarkot.

(Note: During Christmas and New Year, the hotels of Nagarkot are packed with local and Indian tourists. It would be better if you go for pre-booking.

Essential Permits & Documents
