Add-On Options for Luxury Everest Heli Trek

Upgrade Your Accommodation in Kathmandu

Upgrading to 4-star and 5-star hotels in Kathmandu is our most requested upgrade since the experience is so much better. Our standard accommodation is very serviceful and comfortable, but sometimes you just want a little more luxury, which is why we offer upgraded accommodation. This service will not be a part of the standard trek package; you will have to pay for it separately.

Upgrades during the trekking days are a possibility but there will not be 4-star and 5-star hotels; rather, high-end inns and lodges that are a premium version of the local tea houses. If you prefer it, we can arrange those.

Private Helicopter flight to and from Lukla

A private helicopter ride to and from Lukla means that you will not be restricted to an early morning flight. Generally, flights to and from Lukla only happen in the early hours of the day since the afternoon winds do not complement flights. However, a chartered helicopter flight can be made at your preferred time without any restriction. In addition to that, the wide windows offer a more scenic ride in comparison to standard flights.

This day’s trek lasts for 6 to 7 hours, covering a total distance of just 7.4 km. The many ascents throughout this day make it time-consuming. Other than that, the trek is very manageable with an average of 4 to 5 hours of daily trekking. This trek is a solid 6 out of a scale of 10.

Can a beginner join this trip?

Yes, a beginner can absolutely join this 11 days Luxury Everest Heli Trek. The helicopter ride at the end of the trek (from Gorak Shep to Kathmandu) makes it a very beginner-friendly trek. The daily trekking distances are not very extensive and not very physically demanding. The porters will carry your heavy bags, and the guide will lead the way to make it as easy for you as possible.

Under 5000 meters, the effects of altitude sickness are very trivial.

You are highly unlikely to get altitude sickness during this trek, but just in case you do, our expert trek guide will help you get down to a lower elevation to wear off the effects, and also give you a pill. The trek guide will also check your oxygen levels every night before bed and every morning before breakfast. He will look for early signs of altitude sickness so that you can avoid it at the earliest stage.
