Introduction of Ganesh Himal Trek

Ganesh Himal Trek is one of the newly opened trekking destinations in Nepal. Despite being so close to the capital, this trekking valley doesn’t receive as many visitors as it should. As the name suggests, this valley is renowned for its abundant rubies. It is said that rubies were found on the trekking trail up until a few years ago. The trail is believed to have ruby mine, Metal lead, and zinc. The deep red stone rubies have been much valued.

The valley offers natural diversity as well as cultural diversity. People from different communities, such as Brahmin, Chhetri, Gurung, Magar, Tamang, Newar, and many others, have been living here in harmony.

The trail mostly goes through steady, terraced farms, snow-capped peaks, a steep climb, flatlands, and the beautiful scenery of the lush green forest. Ganesh Himal trekking provides a magnificent view of Bouddha Himal, Langtang, Ganesh Himal, Hiunchuli, and many other peaks.

Located between Manaslu Conservation Area and Langtang National Park, the trail is full of rippling rivers, and the tempting Himalayas and unique culture are seen throughout the valley. The highest elevation of this trek is Pangsang Pass (3845 m), which provides wonderful views of Ganesh Himal I (7422m), Ganesh Himal II (7118m), Ganesh III (70433m) Ganesh Himal IV (7104m). Every spring and autumn, the hills and forests become colorful with various shades of pines, rhododendron flowers, oaks, and many herbaceous plants.
